Adding Links on a BlogSpot Bar in Blogger / Blogs
BlogSpot,
now known as Google Blogger, allows you to design and create your own business
blogs for free using your Google account. Blogger provides many templates and
gadgets that you can use to customize the look and layout of your blog. One
gadget creates a list of links on a menu bar that spans across the top of your
blog. This link bar is fully customizable and allows readers to navigate
between sections of your blog more easily.
- Log in to your Google Blogger account.
- Click the “More Options” arrow next to the “Go to post list” button and select “Layout” from the drop-down window.
- Click the “Add a Gadget” link. If you don’t see this option, you will need to click “Template” and change to a template that contains that layout section
- Click “Link List” from the list of gadgets. A new "Configure Link List" window will appear.
- Type a title for your menu in the “Title” text box and choose the type of link sorting you want to use from the “Sorting” drop-down menu.
- Type the first link URL in the “New Site URL” text box.
- Type the link name in the “New Site Name” text box and then click “Add Link.” Your link will appear in a section under the form.
- Repeat the process to add more links to your list, then click “Save” to create your menu bar.
- Click “Save arrangement” to save the changes to the layout. You will now see a link bar across the top of your blog.
